My whole life I've been 12 percent Scottish and didn't realize it even though I knew I had a great grandparent from Scotland. I always heard growing up and into adulthood that we were "scotch irish" but I didn't know what that meant, so I thought they traveled to Scotland from Ireland or something. Anyways I've always been moved by photos of Scotland and by bagpipes so maybe that's a reason why. We are going to visit Edinburgh, Isle of Skye and maybe Inverness. I look forward to the Seafood and whiskey as well as the landscape and trying to make out the dialect as best I can. I hope i can obtain some mystical energy from land architecture, people and from ancestors while there. My family has been watching the show Outlander for the past couple years and apparently we have members of both sides in our lineage of the Jacobite rebellion. The history seems interesting if a little crazy and intense. My family's ancestors immigrated to Canada in the late 1700s or early 1800s after being ethnically cleansed in Scotland. They were from the highlands and Isle of Skye
